The LA Phil’s 2016-17 Green Umbrella season begins Saturday, October 1, 2016 with Noon to Midnight, an opportunity for audiences to experience performances by a number of LA's most exciting new music ensembles throughout Walt Disney Concert Hall. Jacaranda’s concert Trance Room will start with a World Premiere LA Phil co-commission from David Lang, and end celebrating Steve Reich’s 80th birthday. In between, the original 2006 version of Schnee by Hans Abrahamsen will preview the 2008 hour-long version to be performed in November in Santa Monica.

LYRIS QUARTET: INTIMATE LETTERS

Four World Premieres inspired by Leoš Janáček’s Quartet No. 2. Music of Billy Childs, Bruce Broughton, Kurt Rohde, Peter Knell and Janáček. Ticketed after-party $40 in advance, $50 at the door.
