Lembranças do Sertão (Jungle Souvenirs) and a rugged string quartet that revels in the extreme beauty of the pampas, lead the way into the primal power of ancient Mexican and South American cultures at their most intoxicating, colorful, and rhythmically infectious. These percussion-rich orchestral and ensemble scores will involve 65 musicians with 13 exceptional students from the Jacaranda Youth Chamber Orchestra playing side-by-side.
